Authorities: No trace of missing Claremore woman.

A Claremore woman who was reported missing by her family late last year has still not been found, according to family and police officials.

Pshara Marie Jones, 21, has been missing since Sept. 21, 2015 and the case has grown cold, according to Claremore Deputy Police Chief Charles Downum.

Downum said Jones was upset when she left her residence on Archer Court on a Monday evening last year.

“She left. No car. No phone. We did look at her bank records and two transactions were made on that date. One was at Kum and Go and there has not been any activity since,” Downum said.

Jones’ mother, Mary Vo, said Wednesday she fears her only child is dead. She said she has dealt with her daughter getting upset and leaving many times.

“But, she always called me and let me know where she was. I don’t know if she got with the wrong person, but she would always try to come home or call the police to give her a ride home.”

Vo said her daughter suffers from a mental illness and was taking medication that was not working. She said she would walk away at night and turn up a few hours later. “She started having a lot of episodes and was not doing well,” Vo said.

On Tuesday, Sept. 22, Vo said Jones was supposed to pick up her medication and never did.

The next day, on Wednesday, Jones never showed up for work at a pharmacy in town.

“She transferred money from her savings account into her checking account and was going to get paid the next week. But she never used any of the money drafted into her account,” Vo said.

She said she has checked mental hospitals and called police, but nothing has turned up.

Two weeks passed before Vo reported her daughter missing because she thought she would return home. “I tried to leave the door open thinking she would come home or police would bring her home,” she said.

The National Missing Persons Data System reported that Jones is a little over five feet tall and weighs between 120 and 140 pounds. She is African American and Vietnamese with brown, shoulder-length hair. One distinguishing mark is a lump on her right thumb.

Vo said her daughter did interact with a Canadian man online in June 2015, who she went to meet. But that did not evolve into anything, Vo said.

Vo wanted to give a message to her daughter in case she reads this article about her disappearance.

“Pshara, I miss you. I want you to be safe and I want you to come home. I want you to get in touch with me. I really miss you. I think about you all the time,” she said.

Her uncle, Joe Vo, who lives in Texas, said his niece has not been in contact with anyone. He said she had a Facebook account but she is not on there anymore. “We were very close. I want her to know we love her. We miss her and we hope she is safe. I know her mom wants to see her again.”

Jones’ mother said she dreams that her daughter is alive.

“But that is wishful thinking. If she was okay she would be home by now,” she said.
